Children usually want their programmes now, and parents want them to find those programmes without wandering into the rest of the line-up. The kids group on SSTV IPTV helps with both: dedicated children’s channels in one place, and players that let you build a separate, locked-down list.
What’s in the kids group
- Pre-school channels with gentle programmes for the youngest viewers.
- Cartoon channels for school-age children.
- Family channels mixing animation, live-action series and films.
- Educational programming on nature, science and how things work.
As with every group, individual channels can change over time.
A safe corner for children
You can make a child’s screen show only children’s channels:
- Create a favourites group containing only the kids’ channels.
- Hide the other groups on that device, or open the player straight into the kids’ list.
- Lock adult groups with a PIN: TiviMate Premium has parental controls, and many other players offer a PIN for selected groups.
- Give them their own screen if possible, so a cartoon in the bedroom doesn’t interrupt the news in the living room. Extra screens can be added to any plan.
Films and series for children
Beyond the live channels, the on-demand catalogue has animated films and family series that start whenever you press play, which is handy for a car journey on a tablet or a rainy afternoon.
Parents’ questions
Are children’s channels included in all plans?
Yes. Every channel group is part of every SSTV IPTV plan.
Can I stop my children from seeing other channels?
Yes, by using a separate favourites list on their device and locking other groups with a PIN in players that support it, such as TiviMate Premium.
Can a child watch while someone else uses the TV?
Yes, if your plan has enough screens. Each device streaming at the same time counts as one screen.
