SSTV IPTV doesn’t come with a box of its own, and that’s deliberate. Your details open the service on sticks, televisions, handsets, set-top receivers and laptops alike, so the hardware already in your home will almost certainly do. The only thing that varies is the app that plays the streams.
Devices and their players
| Device | Player we suggest | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Fire TV sticks on Fire OS | TiviMate Premium | One-off install through Downloader |
| Google TV / Android TV | TiviMate Premium | Listed on Google Play |
| LG and Samsung televisions | SS IPTV or another TV player | No TiviMate on these systems |
| Apple devices | A player from Apple’s store | Our welcome email names our current pick |
| Android handsets | A touch-friendly Android player | Good for watching away from the TV |
| MAG boxes | The built-in portal | Linked to the box’s MAC address |
| Enigma2 receivers | A bouquet or plugin | For Vu+, Dreambox, Zgemma and similar |
| Computers | A desktop media player | Windows, macOS or Linux |
Before you buy a device
Buying something new for SSTV IPTV? Pick hardware that runs TiviMate Premium, because that player brings the richest set of tools: the grid guide, replays, recordings and split-screen viewing. Watch out for Amazon’s latest sticks, though: several use Vega OS rather than Fire OS and will refuse TiviMate. The Fire TV page explains how to tell them apart.
Mixing devices at home
Your details aren’t locked to one gadget. The lounge stick, the bedroom television and a phone can each run a different player with the same account; the only limit is how many stream together, which is your plan’s number of screens.
Setting up
Each device has an install guide with the exact steps: Fire TV, smart TVs, SS IPTV, Android, iPhone and iPad and TiviMate Premium. All of them are listed on the install guides page.
Device questions
What’s the best thing to watch on?
Anything that runs TiviMate Premium: a Google TV Streamer, a Fire OS stick or a TV with Google TV built in.
Can I use a device I already own?
Almost certainly. Most screens sold in the past five or six years have at least one suitable player.
My device isn’t listed. What now?
Ask us with the make and model; we’ll tell you whether it can play SSTV IPTV and which app to try.
