For many households, sport decides which TV service they keep. The sport group on SSTV IPTV pulls together the big sports networks, the regional ones, temporary channels that appear for major events and the studio programmes around them. It sits alongside everything else in your plan; there is no sports supplement.
Sports you can follow
| Sport | What you’ll typically find |
|---|---|
| Football | League and cup matches, highlights programmes and preview shows |
| Basketball and American sports | Season games, play-offs and dedicated league channels |
| Motorsport | Full race weekends, from Friday practice to Sunday’s race |
| Tennis and golf | Tournament coverage across the season |
| Combat sports | Fight cards, weigh-ins and the shows around them |
| Cricket and rugby | International series and club competitions |
Rights to individual competitions differ between countries and change from season to season, so we don’t promise any particular match. Check the programme guide in your player for the coming days.
Getting match days right
A live match is the most demanding thing you can stream: fast movement, a full stadium of detail and no chance to buffer ahead. Ten minutes before kick-off is enough to prepare:
- Plug the main TV into the router with a network cable, or keep it on 5 GHz Wi-Fi in the same room.
- Start the stream a few minutes before kick-off, so any app update or slow start doesn’t eat into the first half.
- Ask others at home to pause big downloads while the game is on.
- Know your replay options. Arrived late? On channels with catch-up, start the match from its first minute.
Our match-day setup guide goes through a full checklist for the season.
Several matches at once
When several games kick off together, multi-view in TiviMate Premium splits the TV into as many as four windows. Every window is a separate stream, so your plan needs that many screens. Or keep it simple: the second game goes on a tablet.
Picture quality for sport
Sports channels mostly broadcast Full HD at 50 or 60 frames a second, the rate that keeps a fast ball sharp. A few events are produced in 4K, which needs a 4K TV or streamer and roughly 35 Mbps of steady bandwidth.
Sport questions
Do I pay extra for sport?
No. Sport sits in the same subscription as everything else; there is no sports package to add.
Can I watch a match that has already started from the beginning?
Yes, where the channel offers catch-up: select the match in the guide and play it from kick-off.
Why is there a short delay compared with the TV at my neighbour’s?
Streaming adds a short delay because the picture is encoded and travels over the internet. Every online TV service is a few seconds behind satellite or aerial broadcasts.
