MAG boxes are simple: switch on, choose a channel, watch. They don’t use apps like TiviMate. Instead, the box connects to a portal that we link to its unique MAC address, and the box’s own menus show the channels and the guide.
What we need from you
Every MAG box has a MAC address, printed on a sticker underneath, in the form 00:1A:79:xx:xx:xx. When you order, enter it at checkout or send it afterwards through a ticket. We link the address to your SSTV IPTV line and reply with the portal URL.
Adding the portal
- On the box, open Settings (or System settings) and go to Servers → Portals.
- Type a name for the portal, for example “SSTV”.
- Enter the portal URL from our email.
- Save, go back and choose Restart portal, or restart the box.
The box then loads SSTV IPTV’s channel list and guide.
Getting more from a MAG box
- Update the firmware from the box’s menu; older versions may struggle with current streams.
- Use a network cable: most MAG boxes have an Ethernet port, and it’s far more stable than Wi-Fi.
- Learn the remote’s guide button, which opens the listings for the current channel.
Limits compared with apps
MAG boxes are reliable but less flexible than TiviMate Premium. Recording, multi-view and some catch-up features depend on the model and portal. If you want those features on a television, a Fire OS stick or a Google TV device gives more.
MAG questions
Which MAG models work?
Most current models work well, including the MAG 520, 524 and 540. Very old models may not handle HD streams smoothly.
Can I move my subscription to another MAG box?
Yes, but the new box has a different MAC address. Send it to us and we’ll update the link.
Can I use a MAG box and a phone at the same time?
Yes, if your plan has two screens. The phone uses an app with your normal login details.
