Android covers two very different kinds of screen. Boxes and televisions are driven with a remote and suit TiviMate Premium. Phones and tablets are driven by touch and are happier with a player built for them. Your SSTV IPTV details work with both.
On a Google TV or Android TV box
The procedure is the one in the TiviMate Premium guide, in short:
- install TiviMate IPTV Player from Google Play;
- sign in to Premium through Settings → Unlock Premium → Account with the TiviMate account we email;
- add the line with Add playlist → Xtream Codes login, copying the details from My subscription.
On a phone or tablet
- Search Google Play for an IPTV player with recent good reviews that accepts Xtream Codes or M3U playlists. The one we currently use with customers is named in our welcome email.
- Launch it and pick the option to add a playlist, user or account.
- Choose the Xtream type and paste the three details, or paste the M3U link if the app only takes links.
- Save, then let the channel list and guide download.
Phone viewing without surprises
- Mind your data allowance: an hour of Full HD can use several gigabytes, so prefer Wi-Fi or a lower quality on mobile data.
- Casting to a television works in some apps, but a player installed on the TV itself is more reliable.
- Update the app when Google Play offers a new version.
Questions about Android setup
Does TiviMate work on an Android tablet?
It installs, but its menus expect a remote. A touchscreen player is easier to use.
Do I need a VPN?
No. SSTV IPTV works without one.
Will my phone use one of my screens?
While it plays, yes. Check that your plan covers every device watching at the same time; see multiple screens.
