SS IPTV, short for Simple Smart IPTV, is a free player for smart televisions. It’s popular on LG sets because it installs straight from LG’s app store, and it can be added to many older Samsung models from a USB stick. Like TiviMate, it contains no channels: you give it your SSTV IPTV playlist link and it shows your channels, groups and guide.
SS IPTV is developed independently of SSTV IPTV. We supply the subscription; the app itself, its updates and its website belong to its own developer.
Where SS IPTV runs
| Television | How to install |
|---|---|
| LG (webOS and older NetCast models) | From the LG Content Store (Apps on newer sets), in any country |
| Samsung, roughly 2012 to 2019 | From a USB stick with the package on the official SS IPTV website |
| Newer Samsung models | Usually not supported; use another player (see the smart TV guide) |
| Philips and Sony (non-Android) | Beta versions offered by the developer |
The one detail you need
Your M3U playlist link, found in My subscription and in your activation email. SS IPTV works with playlist links rather than Xtream Codes logins.
Method 1: add the link inside the app
- Open SS IPTV and select the gear icon in the top corner to open Settings.
- Go to Content, then External playlists.
- Select Add, type a name such as SSTV IPTV and enter your playlist link.
- Select Save, return to the main screen and open the new playlist.
This method is quickest if your remote has a comfortable keyboard or if you have a pointer remote, such as LG’s Magic Remote.
Method 2: send the link from a computer
Typing a long link with a TV remote is tedious, so SS IPTV lets you send it from a computer or phone:
- In SS IPTV, open Settings → General and select Get code. A connection code appears; it’s only valid for a limited time, so continue straight away.
- On a computer or phone, open the playlist editor on the official SS IPTV website (ss-iptv.com, in the users section).
- Enter the connection code to link your television.
- Open the External playlists tab, select Add item, give it a name and paste your SSTV IPTV link as the source.
- Select OK, then Save.
- Restart SS IPTV on the TV after a minute; the playlist appears on the main screen.
Getting the guide and replays
SS IPTV reads the programme guide from the information in the playlist, so listings usually appear without extra setup. Replays depend on the playlist including the archive details; use the playlist link exactly as we provide it. If listings look shifted, set the time shift in the app’s settings. For the fullest guide and catch-up, TiviMate Premium on a Fire OS stick or Google TV device offers more.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | What to try |
|---|---|
| The playlist shows no channels | Check the link was pasted completely, with no spaces |
| “Code expired” on the website | Generate a new code in the app and enter it at once |
| Playlist added on the website doesn’t appear | Select Save on the website, wait a minute, then restart the app |
| Channels buffer | Use a network cable on the TV and see the stable streaming tips |
| The app isn’t in the Samsung store | Expected: use the USB package for older models or another player |

SS IPTV questions
Is SS IPTV free?
Yes, the app itself costs nothing. Your SSTV IPTV subscription is paid separately, through our checkout.
Is SS IPTV the same thing as SSTV IPTV?
No. SS IPTV is an independent player app; SSTV IPTV is the subscription you watch in it, and in other players too.
Can I use SS IPTV and TiviMate with the same subscription?
Yes. Your details work in both. Just keep within your plan’s number of screens when watching on several devices at once.
