If you already use an Enigma2 receiver, you can keep its familiar remote and menus and add SSTV IPTV to it. Internet channels appear as an extra bouquet beside your satellite channels, or in a plugin with its own interface.
Bouquet or plugin?
| Method | How it works | Good for |
|---|---|---|
| Bouquet | A channel list loaded into the receiver like a satellite bouquet | Zapping with the normal remote |
| Plugin | An IPTV plugin that reads your Xtream details | A separate menu with categories and catch-up |
We send the details for both. The bouquet route is usually done with a short command run on the receiver through a terminal; the plugin route involves installing the plugin and entering your server, username and password.
Preparing the receiver
- You need network access to the receiver from a computer (for the bouquet command or plugin files).
- Save a settings backup first, so any change can be reversed.
- Check that your image (OpenATV, OpenPLi and similar) is reasonably up to date.
Guide data
Satellite channels get their guide from the satellite signal, but internet channels don’t. For listings, an EPG importer plugin can load SSTV IPTV’s guide data; our email includes the address to use.
Tips for Enigma2 users
- Use Ethernet: receivers are usually near the router and cable is the most reliable.
- Keep the bouquet small: hide groups you don’t need so zapping stays quick.
- Reload after updates: if the channel list changes, run the bouquet update again.
Enigma2 questions
Do I lose my satellite channels?
No. The internet channels sit beside them; the dish keeps working exactly as before.
Is this for beginners?
Enigma2 setup involves a little technical work. If you’re not comfortable with it, a Fire OS stick with TiviMate is simpler.
Can you help me set it up?
Of course. Send a ticket naming the receiver and the image it runs, and we’ll take you through it.
